Auspicious Time for marriages

Auspicious wedding day selection process has a great significance and effect on the married life of the bride and the bridegroom. The bridal couple can be happy or otherwise too and the time and date of marriage is a vital factor to decide their fate. The Astrological chart analysis of the bride and bridegroom with the directions given in Indian Traditional System and in association with the Indian astrology has profound bearing on the pleasant relationship, good children and a happy old age life.
The Ancient Indian sages found out some ways and means by critically analyzing the astrological aspects and arrived at a conclusion. It is a matter of fact and reality too; some basic academic theory is needed to study the future instead of firing in darkness. Of course, logically it has to be accepted since the sages did not anticipate any reward or remuneration for making out the practicality of theoretical exercise.
The astrological chart analysis gives accurate combination effects on 12 aspects of life, which are the 12 houses in the chart.

Hindu religion is age old and with infinite time of its origin which means one cannot find the starting point or date for this religion. Time has proved and many modern scientists too accepted that it has given the mankind with the right technology and certain clues of future. It gives certain other clues too for any bride or bridegroom to analyze the partner’s characteristics and mutual relationships and all other aspects of human life fulfillment very accurately. Several astrologers have proved even in this modern day that a muhurtha for the wedding has a wonderful effect on their life after analyzing hundreds of married couples.

We have made an attempt here as per the Hindu astrological science the best way to select the muhurtha for the wedding day.

Hindu Sastras have specified around 12 different methods of wedding starting from exchange of rings, … Etc. Unlike in other astrological sciences of other parts of the globe, Indian astrological guidance is quite accurate since the sages found out 27 stars, nine planets and 12 zodiac signs. It is to be noted that there can never be an ideal situation where only 12 kinds of people exists on the earth as is seen in western astrology. Indian astrological guidance differs from person to person; time to time; there upon reaching the accurate conclusion for the future.

To Select specific time (Auspicious time for marriage), first we have to see the stars aspect (A Checklist of table that is compared based on the star power of the bride/bridegroom and the 27 stars like Ashwani, Bharani…. Revathi).

The Auspicious months for marriage are Aries- Mesha-Chaitram, Taurus – Vrishabham -Vyshakm, Gemini -Mithunam-Jyestam, Leo –Simham-Sravanam, Libra - Tula- Ashveejam, Scorpio –Vrischikam-Kartikam-Margasiram, Aquarius – Kumbham- Magham, Pisces – Meenam –Phalgunam. The first one indicate the western name of the zodiac sign, the second one is the name of the zodiac sign as per Indian sciences and the last one is the lunar star month where the fool moon day occurs for the month. The Auspicious days for marriage mostly are Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, though Sunday, Monday are also considered second best. The Auspicious lunar ascending days are the second bright/dark day -Vidiya, the third b/d day- Tadiya, the fifth b/d day - Panchami, the seventh b/d day - Saptami, the tenth b/d day - Dashami, the eleventh b/d day - Ekadasi, the thirteenth b/d day – Triodasi etc.

The Auspicious stars for marriage are Ashwani, Rohini, Mrugasira, Punarvasu, Makha, Uttara, Uttarashada, Uttarabhadra, Hastha, Swathi, Chitta, Anuradha, Moola, Sravanam, Dhanishta, Revathi out of 27 stars.

Shubha Lagnas- Zodiac signs:

Taurus- Vrushabha Lagna, Gemini- Midhuna, Cancer -Karkata, Virgo- Kanya, Libra- Tula, Sagittarius – Dhanus & Pisces- Meenam are considered the best Zodiac signs where marriages are preferred.

To select Zodiac Sign we have to see Lunar Position, then Purification process of eliminating the five poisonous aspects called panchakarahitam, then Zodiac chart with planetary position of the particular day and finally arriving at accurate time called as muhurtam.

In the Zodiac sign chart 7th place should be vacant or aspected by beneficial planets like Jupiter, Mercury or Venus, next only malefic planets should be in 3rd, 6th & 11th positions. Lagna Sagraha Shasta ashtama dwadasa moon should be avoided and Shukra should not be in sixth place. Similarly Kuja (Mars) should not be in 8th place. The Seventh place is the center place for a human being and denotes the conjugal relation place.

Just because the Indian astrological system looks complicated, it can not be avoided for convenient reasons, for the simple reason it has produced perfect results and down to us from centuries. One must salute the great Indian Sages who have done this wonderful research much and much before the telescope/periscope etc are invented. Even today, Indian Pundits-priests sitting at nook and corner of the country accurately say when the lunar/solar eclipse takes place with seconds. The modern scientists with lots of sophisticated equipment now say what the sages said centuries ago is absolute and correct. This becomes a sufficient logical conclusion to accept the theories of the ancient sages.

Different religions have adopted their own methods of selecting the time basing on their experience and knowledge, by and large the Indian astrological guidance appears to be perfect and nearer to the results.

As is seen even in medical sciences, different doctors give different opinion on one particular patient basing on their knowledge and inference/experience, but that does not mean that doctors have lack of knowledge or the medical science is wrong. So to say, different pundits/priests express different opinion on different experiences but that does mean that there is no unified opinion in the science or the science is bad. Some thing can be really done by the Government before it is too late; to consolidate the experts and support the reason oriented sciences of Indian Origin.
